We have added choices on how and where you will begin your tour with Baja Jones. The start point affects the overall trip price.
You can choose the easiest and most hassle free method, which is begin at our start point at the Holiday Inn-Bayside in San Diego. You drive there or fly in to the San Diego Airport. The hotel has a complimentary Airport shuttle service. We meet you the next morning at 7:00 a.m. and transfer you across the border to the Ensenada Airport. There you catch the flight we have reserved for you on a regional scheduled airline.  Simple and hassle free.
Or
You can make your own way to the Ensenada Airport and meet your flight to depart from there. This is a great option if you plan to spend time in Ensenada before your whale watching trip begins.  This will require much more planning and organizing on your part, but it makes the tour price lower.

Typical itinerary - any length trip - stay at our camp
Day # 1 :
We meet you at the Holiday Inn - Bayside in San Diego and your adventure begins.  Our driver transports you across the border approximately 1 1/2 hours drive to the Ensenada Airport. From there you travel by regional scheduled air to Guerrero Negro, arrive around 2 pm. Our guide and driver meets you and then a short one hour drive gets us to our seaside tented lodge. After getting situated in your tent we meet for dinner and an orientation talk.

Note: Some of our guests choose to make their own way to the Ensenada Airport. They catch the flight that is part of the tour package and we are waiting at the other end at the Guerrero Negro Airport. They might choose to do this so they can stay a day or two in Ensenada before traveling to a more remote area. Ensenada has long been a destination city for Southern Californians looking for a fun weekend activity. Or they may choose to save the cost of the private transportation and find another way to Ensenada that can save them $300 on their tour price.
Days 2 and beyond:
Meet for breakfast each morning and then your boat captain will be waiting for you to begin the morning whale watching trip.  We spend the day whale watching with two boat trips planned.  Lunch will be served by our friendly staff and crew.  Then weather permitting a second trip out onto the lagoon will finish an exciting day of whale watching.   Dinner will be prepared by one of the best chefs in Guerrero Negro. Working with our very own Baja Jones our kitchen staff has developed a fresh, delicious and stylish Mexican menu.
Your personal Baja Jones whale watching trip will be anywhere from a 3 day to 14 day total trip time.  This itinerary is to give you an example of what to expect while at the camp.  Please click this link to view more camp details.
Final Day :
All good trips eventually end. And so will ours. Today we travel back to the U.S. We'll get you to the Guerrero Negro airport in plenty of time to catch your flight home.  We expect you to arrive in the United States in the late afternoon, depending on the border crossing time.
